Privacy notice.

Last updated: 15 October 2026. This notice covers the China Playbook launch waitlist. It does not replace a complete privacy policy for future paid accounts.

Who is responsible?

MediaMirko is an independent project managed by Mirko. For questions or to exercise your privacy rights, contact contact@mediamirko.com.

What do we collect?

When you opt in, we store your email address, consent time, confirmation status and relevant signup/confirmation timestamps. To prevent abuse we also apply temporary rate limits; their lookup keys use hashes rather than storing plain IP addresses in the waitlist table.

Campaign link statistics

When you open our dedicated TikTok bio link, the website adds one visit to an aggregate daily count. We also randomly assign the landing-page design A or B for the current session and store aggregate session-per-day counts for each version to compare waitlist interest. We do not store an IP address, unique visitor identifier or device fingerprint in this campaign table. The source label may be kept in your existing session and passed through links. If you voluntarily sign up, the source and page variant may be recorded against your waitlist entry so we can compare confirmed signups. No IP address or device fingerprint is stored in the experiment tables. Repeated visits and automatic link previews can make these figures approximate. Our host may separately keep normal server access logs.

Why?

We use this information only to confirm your signup and send one message when the China Playbook launches. The legal basis is your consent. There is no purchase requirement and we do not add you to an unrelated marketing newsletter.

Who receives the data?

The waitlist is stored in our website database hosted by Hostinger. We use our configured website email service to deliver confirmation and launch messages. The service provider may process email addresses for delivery. We do not sell your details.

How long is it kept?

We intend to delete waitlist information after the launch notification, or within 12 months of collection if the product is not launched, unless you provide fresh consent. This deletion requires us to carry out periodic database housekeeping.

Your choices and rights

You can choose not to sign up, withdraw your consent, ask for access, correction, deletion or a copy of your details. The welcome email includes a removal link. You can also email contact@mediamirko.com. If you have concerns, you can contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA).

Cookies

The waitlist uses a necessary session cookie for form security. The site may also use a private-access cookie for authorized testers; no additional advertising or analytics cookies are created for the campaign link counter. The campaign source and assigned landing-page variant may be kept in the existing necessary form-security session; no separate A/B test cookie is created.
